Can I choose what mail gets scanned?

Yes. While the exterior of every piece of mail will be scanned upon receipt, you can choose to open and scan the contents as well. You can also enable automatic mail scanning, to scan and upload the contents of all incoming mail.

How fast is mail scanning?

Mail is scanned shortly after arriving at one of our in-house processing facilities and will typically be delivered to your digital dashboard within one business day.

Is mail scanning secure?

Stable’s mail scanning service is extremely secure and well-suited for organizations that regularly handle sensitive information, including law firms, healthcare companies, tech companies, accounting firms, and insurance agencies. What types of mail can be scanned?

Stable can scan standard business mail such as letters, invoices, statements, forms, and documents. We can also accept packages up to 25 pounds and 2ft x 2ft x 2ft as long as they’re not perishable or restricted items. If you want to know what’s inside a package before it’s forwarded, you can select scan and we’ll open the package, photograph the contents, and upload it to your dashboard.

What happens to my physical mail after it gets scanned?

After your physical mail has been scanned, we can store it for up to 30 days. You can choose to have the mail forwarded to you or direct us to securely shred it on your behalf.

Can multiple team members access scanned mail?

Yes, you can invite team members, assign roles, and control permissions so that the right people can access the right documents. Stable’s mail scanning service provides an ideal solution for remote and distributed teams looking to collaborate and share documents across the organization.
