Multi-Entity ECD

You can now enable Electronic Check Deposit (ECD) for every legal entity you manage. Previously, ECD could only be linked to a single legal entity. Now, when setting up a financial account, you can select which legal entity you want to deposit checks for, giving you more flexibility when managing check deposits across your organization.

Document summaries via webhooks + API

AI document summaries are now available through our API and webhooks, making it easy to sync this feature into your existing workflows. Whether you're pushing summaries to your internal tools or building custom automations with Zapier, you can now access AI-generated summaries programmatically.

Routing Rules: Tag Mail Action

You can now use routing rules to automatically assign tags to your mail. Previously, routing rules could only assign mail to teams — now you can also apply tags based on your rule criteria, giving you more flexibility to organize and categorize incoming mail. To get started, create or edit a routing rule and select "Add a tag" as your action.

Long-term mail storage (alpha)

We're piloting extended mail storage for select customers who need to retain documents beyond our standard 30-day window. If your business has document retention requirements and you'd like to explore this option, please contact your account manager.

Document summaries

Document summaries help you more quickly handle your mail by providing a short summary of its contents. Document summaries are now included on every piece of scanned mail for free. You should notice document summaries begin to appear on all new mail that you receive!

Our checkout and login flows got an update to match our new brand!

Recipient blocking

We can now block specific recipients from sending mail to your address. If you’d like to enable this feature please reach out to support.

Data extraction (alpha)

Data extraction is now in closed alpha with a handful of early customers, who are using it to automatically pull information out of the documents that they receive frequently. Data extraction is customizable to your organizations’ use case and document types, and the extracted data can be accessed in both our Dashboard and via our API + Webhooks.

Payment support

We now support a number of new payment methods like 3DS, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Link, Bank Transfers, and more.

Mail operations improvements

This sprint we improved a number of tools we use within our processing centers for physical shipping and check depositing. Moving forward, you should expect to see both of these actions completed more quickly.

Activity logs

Activity logs now surface even more actions, and the user responsible for that action. Specifically, you can now see which users took the following actions on a piece of mail: team assignment, tag, archive, download, share, and print.

Deposit modal

We updated our bulk check deposit modal to make it more clear which checks you are depositing to which payees.

Persistent banner dismissals

A small but mighty update! Now when you dismiss banner notifications that dismissal will persist throughout your browsers session.

Self-serve registered agents

You can now add a registered agent directly in the Stable Dashboard by clicking “Add address or agent” on the home page.

In case you’re unfamiliar with registered agents:

  • Every business is legally required to have a registered agent in the state where they are incorporated; often you’ll also need a registered agent in the states where you operate, hire employees, etc
  • Registered agents act as the liaison between your business and the state

Customers have told us they switched their registered agent to Stable because our service is more usable, it creates a single source of truth for physical mail (registered agents receive mail on your behalf too), and it consolidates vendors.

Workflow automations: check trigger

Workflow automations can now be triggered when a check is detected in your mail! This trigger will enable a number of new automations, such as:

  • Assign all checks to the Finance team
  • Assign all checks with the word “refund” to the operations team
  • Assign all checks with the word “Acme Inc” to the Accounts Receivable team

Onboarding updates

We updated our onboarding flow to make it more clear what types of identification documents we can legally accept.

Activity logs

Activity logs now surface more actions, and the user responsible for that action. Specifically, you can now see which users assigned mail to which teams.
