Self-serve mailroom automations

We have shipped self-serve mailroom automations! Previously, this feature was handled by our CX team.

Mailroom automations automate common tasks you may take in your mailroom. Right now, the main task that is supported is team assignment. This new feature allows you to create rules to automatically assign mail to specific teams — for example, mail from the IRS could be assigned to Finance, or mail from the EDD could be assigned to HR.

Combined with permissions, this feature set can ensure that only the right people have access to the right pieces of mail within your organization, automatically.

We hope features like these earn your time back so you can focus on what matters most!

This sprint we also updated the account verification processes associated with our check deposit product.

List View (beta) improvements

This sprint we shipped a number of List View improvements based on your feedback including

Routing rules

Customers can now view their active mail routing rules in the setting page of the dashboard. You can use routing rules to conditionally assign mail to your internal teams based on information like who the mail is from, who it is for, where it was sent, and more.

List View (beta)

List view brings an entirely new way of viewing your mail in Stable. It provides a compact, high-density layout that allows users to scan and process mail efficiently with less interaction. By improving information hierarchy and surfacing key details upfront, users can quickly review, prioritize, and take action without unnecessary friction.

Improved Bulk Actions

We've completely redesigned our bulk actions to be more intuitive and efficient for managing high volumes of mail. Now you can select multiple pieces of mail and take actions across your selection with the confidence that operations will be handled intelligently based on mail state. Your selections are also retained after taking an action, making it easy to chain multiple actions together—like bulk assigning and then tagging your mail.

Mail Card Hover Actions

We've added a new hover state for mail item cards that allows you to take actions directly from your inbox without having to click into the mail item page. This streamlines the mail management process and reduces the number of clicks needed for common tasks.

Enhanced UI Experience

We've made several other UI improvements, including page navigation buttons that stick to the top of the screen and reordered preset views. For example, the Inbox view is now the default mailroom view!

Mail Operations Improvements

This sprint we continued to improve our mail operations. Specifically, we began automatically transcribing certain pieces of information from your mail in scenarios of extremely high confidence. Changes like these ensure your mail is processed efficiently and quickly!

Electronic Check Deposit Notifications

This sprint we improved some notifications associated with our Electronic Check Deposit product related to account onboarding and check deposit statuses.

Moving forward, whenever a piece of mail is assigned or removed from a team we’ll fire a webhook! You can read more in the docs here.
