What is a Primary ID?

A Primary ID is an ID with your name and a photo of yourself.

When opening a Stable address, we need to file a USPS 1583 form. In order to verify your identity, this form requires you provide a Primary ID.

Your Primary ID must include your name and a photo of yourself. Valid forms of Primary ID include:

US Government IDs

  • State-issued driver’s license
  • Non-driver’s identification card
  • U.S. Armed Forces card
  • A uniformed service ID card
  • U.S. permanent resident or other identification card issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • U.S. certificate of citizenship or naturalization
  • An identification card issued by a federally or state-recognized tribal nation (tribal identification card)

Passports

  • US Passport
  • US Passport card
  • Foreign passport
